Working Out Single Body Parts vs. the Whole Body.

Here is a little reminder that we don’t use just one body part at a time. I chose 4 exercises that really involve my whole body. They are also on the athletic end of the movement scale!

Perhaps this isn’t your thing, but my point is the integration of the whole is so important to the outcome! Even if you are doing a sit to stand exercise it is important to use the body as a whole rather than just looking at parts.

Some Questions To Ask Yourself…

  • Are you using your feet, are you grounded, and are your hips engaged, even if they are not moving?
  • Are your shoulder blades in your back pockets?
  • Are your shoulders relaxed or are they tense trying to stabilize you?
  • Are you using your core, your trunk to power your movement?

These are questions inquiring minds want to know! It might seem overwhelming at first but pick just one thing.

If you need help on how to integrate all of these things feel free to contact me!

Mindful, or mindless movement, the choice is yours!
