I have to say I love the Bosu!

It offers some fun options for stability, balance, agility, and strength!

Today we focus on the…

  1. Simple step up,
  2. Add a reach,
  3. Progress to the step right, step left.
  4. Next we step up, step out, step in and step down.
  5. Our last progression is a simple run, in a 1-2-3-4-5 down.

Think “I love Lucy” and stomping grapes. If you watch my progress, I have some difficulty until I really start to pump my arms.

⚠️ A big word of caution… if you have not used a Bosu before, start at a wall or a bar and work on a step up, driving heals down. So many people step with their toes and use their knees.

I tell people treat the Bosu like a step. Look for the 4-inch circle at the top of the Bosu and aim for that keeping your full foot on the Bosu!

Also speed is an option, but control is the key! Don’t go fast until you can control your slow movement. Also, slow is always more challenging than fast.

Stay tuned for next week where we look at balance and stability using the Bosu!
